Onze belofte aan Nederland

Er is veel gesproken over onze voorgestelde fusie met Tele2. Zoals verwacht is de Europese Commissie gestart met de tweede fase om meer onderzoek te doen om zo tot een geïnformeerd besluit te komen. Dit is gebruikelijk bij een fusie van deze omvang. We gaan er vanuit dat we aan het eind van het jaar groen licht krijgen.

Waarom is de fusie noodzakelijk?
Op dit moment wordt de markt gedomineerd door KPN en VodafoneZiggo. Voor de consument valt daardoor meestal weinig te kiezen. Samen met Tele2 kunnen we dit veranderen! Door onze krachten te bundelen kunnen wij Nederland meer keuzevrijheid geven tegen scherpere prijzen en met meer innovatie. Vergelijk dit met de Spaanse voetbalcompetitie, die altijd werd gedomineerd door Barcelona en Real. Wij creëren een nieuwe uitdager; Atletico Madrid. De Nederlandse consument en de telecommarkt hebben deze fusie nodig. Om te laten zien waartoe we samen met Tele2 in staat zijn, hebben we een aantal beloftes gemaakt die we willen uitvoeren zodra de fusie een feit is.

Our promise to the Dutch consumer

Much has been said with regard to our planned merger with Tele2. As expected the European Commission started the second phase to do an in depth investigation to come to an informed decision. Which is quite common for a merger of this size. We expect that we will get a green light before the end of the year.

Why is this merger necessary?
Currently the market is dominated by KPN and VodafoneZiggo, leaving consumers with not much of a choice most of the time. Together with Tele2 we will change this. Through our joined forces we will give the Netherlands more freedom of choice, sharper prices and more innovation. Compare this with the Primera Division always dominated by Barcelona and Real, we are creating a new challenger; Atletico Madrid. The Dutch consumers and the telecom market need this merger. To show what we are capable of together with Tele2, we have a few promises to the Netherlands, which you can hold us to once the merger is a fact.
