T-Mobile, Primevest Capital Partners en VolkerWessels Telecom starten met brede uitrol glasvezelnetwerk in Den Haag
Den Haag, 7 mei 2019 – VolkerWessels Telecom heeft een samenwerkingsovereenkomst gesloten met de gemeente Den Haag voor de uitrol van Fiber to the Home (FttH)-netwerken in de Hofstad. Een consortium van T-Mobile, Primevest Capital Partners en VolkerWessels Telecom is gevormd om een open access FttH-netwerk - dat ook geschikt is voor de inzet van 5G en Smart City -toepassingen - in stedelijke gebieden uit te rollen. Het consortium start in juni met de uitrol van 33.000 woon- en zakelijke adressen in de Haagse wijk Segbroek. Hiermee houdt T-Mobile zich aan haar belofte glasvezelnetwerken uit te rollen. De samenwerking verenigt de unieke kwaliteiten van alle partners, met als gevolg gunstige prijzen, en een snelle, klantgerichte uitrol van het netwerk.

Belofte aan Den Haag
In januari van dit jaar is T-Mobile Nederland gefuseerd met Tele2 Nederland. Een fusie die zonder extra voorwaarden door de Europese Commissie is goedgekeurd. Søren Abildgaard, CEO T-Mobile Nederland: “Met deze fusie hebben we de sterkst mogelijke uitdager in de duopolistische Nederlandse telecommarkt gecreëerd. Tijdens het goedkeuringsproces door de Europese Commissie hebben we heel duidelijk aangegeven dat deze fusie grote voordelen heeft voor Nederlandse consumenten. Om dit te bewijzen, hebben we vijf harde beloften gedaan. Met het nieuwe consortium verwezenlijken we onze belofte om glasvezelnetwerken te gaan uitrollen. T-Mobile, Primevest Capital Partners and VolkerWessels Telecom starts city-wide fiber rollout in The Hague.
The Hague, 7 May 2019 – VolkerWessels Telecom have signed a cooperation agreement with the municipality of The Hague concerning the rollout of Fiber to the Home networks. A consortium of T-Mobile, Primevest Capital Partners and VolkerWessels Telecom is formed to roll out an open-access FTTH network on which also 5G and Smart City applications in urban areas can be deployed. The consortium will start in June with the rollout of 33.000 home and business addresses in Segbroek, a district within the city of The Hague. With this cooperation, T-Mobile delivers on its promise to roll out fiber networks. The cooperation combines the unique strengths of each partner unlocking favorable economics, rapid, low impact and customer focused network rollout.

In January of this year, T-Mobile Netherlands merged with Tele2 Netherlands. A merger that was cleared by the European Commission without remedies.
