T-Mobile verbreekt eigen record volgens analyse van Ookla®

Den Haag, 12 november 2018 – Voor de tweede keer op rij ontvangt T-Mobile de Ookla Speedtest® award voor het snelste mobiele netwerk van Nederland. De award werd uitgereikt door Ookla, de maker van de meest gebruikte consument geïnitieerde app voor het meten van mobiele en internet snelheid wereldwijd. Voor het bepalen van het snelste mobiele netwerk van Nederland is data gebruikt uit 454.387 speedtests die tijdens het tweede en derde kwartaal van dit jaar in Nederland zijn uitgevoerd. T-Mobile behaalde een totale snelheidsscore van 63.77 met een gemiddelde downloadsnelheid van 69.96 Mbps en een gemiddelde uploadsnelheid van 17.08 Mbps. Daarmee komt T-Mobile als snelste uit de test. Zowel in grote steden als in de gebieden buiten de Randstad behaalde T-Mobile de hoogste netwerksnelheden.

Ookla is wereldwijd leider in het testen en analyseren van het internet en datasnelheden. Met meer dan 20 miljard consument geïnitieerde tests die wereldwijd op iOS en Android mobile apps zijn uitgevoerd met de Speedtest-app, kan Ookla heel nauwkeurig en onafhankelijk inzicht geven in de snelheid en kwaliteit van mobiele- en vaste connecties. Speed test

Met een snelheidsscore van 63.77 breekt T-Mobile tevens haar eigen recordsnelheden van vorig jaar. Speed Score in Nederland

Bij het analyseren van netwerksnelheden wordt gebruik gemaakt van de ‘Speed Score’. De Speed Score bevat metingen van de download- en uploadsnelheid van iedere provider. Aan de hand van deze metingen worden de prestaties van het netwerk geclassificeerd in diverse snelheidsscores. Daarbij telt de downloadsnelheid zwaarder, omdat dit de snelheid is die de gebruiker continu ervaart.

According to analysis from Ookla®, T-Mobile has broken its own record

Still the fastest mobile network in the Netherlands

The Hague, November 12, 2018 - T-Mobile received the Ookla Speedtest® award for the fastest mobile network in the Netherlands for the second time in a row. The award was presented by Ookla, the maker of the app most used measuring mobile and internet speeds worldwide. Data from 454.387 consumer-initiated tests conducted in the Netherlands during the second and third quarter of this year was used to determine the fastest mobile network in the Netherlands. T-Mobile achieved a Speed Score^TM of 63.77 with an average download speed of 69.96 Mbps and an average upload speed of 17.08 Mbps. This makes T-Mobile the fastest mobile network in the results. T-Mobile achieved the highest network speeds in the big cities as well as in the areas outside the Randstad conurbation.

Speedtest

With a Speed Score of 63.77 T-Mobile has also broken its own record speeds from last year. Speed Score in the Netherlands

The 'Speed Score' is used in the analysis of network speeds. The Speed Score contains measurements of every provider's download and upload speed. The performance of the network speed is classified on the basis of these measurements. The download speed carries more weight in these, because that is the speed the user constantly experiences.
